J. Jeffrey Jones
J. Jeffrey Jones became Vice Provost for Regional Campuses at the University of Central Florida on July 1, 2013. In this role, he has responsibility for administrative leadership of UCF’s ten regional campuses and the university’s continuing and corporate education. He joined UCF after having served for almost six years as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Indiana University South Bend. He also served in a variety of administrative roles for twenty-three years at Purdue University North Central (Westville, IN).
Jones received his Ph.D. in higher Education Administration from Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN). He earned a Master of Arts in Communication from Purdue University Calumet (Hammond, IN) and a Bachelor of English from St. Joseph’s College (Rensselaer, IN). He has taught both speech communication and organizational communication.
He has also served as a consultant to a variety of business and not-for-profit organizations, including strategic enrollment management planning. Other areas of consultation include not-for-profit trustee leadership development, manufacturing leadership, and negotiations.
Jones has had the opportunity to chair the board of a regional hospital, a local school board, an economic development corporation, a chamber of commerce, and several other community-based organizations.
