UCF’s opening home football game against Florida A&M University will be televised nationally on Thursday evening, Aug. 29. The game time has yet to be determined.
Please keep the following details in mind as you plan for your fall classes.
On Aug. 29, classes on the main campus, in the Central Florida Research Park, at UCF Downtown, at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management and on the UCF Connect campuses will conclude at 2 p.m. Offices at those locations also will close for normal operations at 2 p.m.
Faculty members who have classes in progress at 2 p.m. may choose to conduct the portions of those sessions that come before that time.
Some staff members may be required to work past the time when the university closes. In those cases, employees can speak with their supervisors about how their areas will handle operations after 2 p.m.
We will communicate more details about the Aug. 29 game day in the coming weeks.
The home opener will be the Knights’ only weeknight game this season. The five other home football games are scheduled on Saturdays and on the Friday after Thanksgiving, when the university is closed.
