Nominations are open for UCF Trustee Chair Professorships that recognize and celebrate outstanding performance.
The appointments are for five years with an annual stipend of $50,000, of which $25,000 can be used as a salary supplement. The appointment is awarded to eligible faculty members with an extraordinary record of accomplishment in the three primary areas: teaching, research, and service. Previous recipients whose terms have expired are eligible to apply again.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
– Be a tenured professor.
– Be recognized as a “foremost scholar” and known as a preeminent scholar in their discipline/area of expertise.
– Have had a positive impact on other scholars at UCF.
Applications shall include, in the following order: (1) Dean’s letter of nomination that supports an extraordinary record of accomplishment in the three primary areas of academic endeavor: teaching, research and service, (2) current CV, and (3) up to two additional letters of support.
Nominations must be submitted by deans as a single PDF to facultyexcellence@ucf.edu by Friday, March 10, 2023. Faculty interested in being nominated are encouraged to consult with their dean soon.
