The campus community is invited to UCF’s biggest events of the year in honor of faculty and student excellence – the Founders’ Day Honors Convocation and the Student Honors Convocation – on Wednesday, April 6, at separate times in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union.
The Founders’ Day Honors Convocation will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event recognizes faculty members for outstanding teaching, advising, mentoring, research, professional service, and librarianship. This includes recognition of excellence award winners as well as newly named Pegasus Professors and recipients of the Reach for the Stars Award.
We will also honor faculty granted emeritus status, faculty who have completed 20, 30, 40, and 50 years of service, and those who have served on the Faculty Senate for at least 10 years.
The Student Honors Convocation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Honorees will include this year’s Order of Pegasus inductees and recipients of undergraduate student awards, honors in the major, and graduate student awards.
