Celebrate Faculty Excellence on April 7 with Founders’ Day

This annual convocation recognizes UCF faculty members for outstanding teaching, advising, mentoring, research, professional service, librarianship and instruction.

Please mark your calendar for UCF’s biggest event of the year in honor of faculty excellence.

Join your colleagues and me virtually on Wednesday, April 7, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., for this year’s Founders’ Day Honors Convocation as we celebrate faculty excellence in service to our students and the university. Details on how to watch via Facebook and YouTube will be provided closer to the event.

This annual convocation recognizes faculty members for outstanding teaching, advising, mentoring, research, professional service, librarianship, and instruction. This includes recognition of UCF Reach for the Stars Award recipients for their highly successful early-career research and creative activity, and Pegasus Professor Award recipients for receiving UCF’s highest honor of excellence.

Faculty who have completed 20, 30, 40, and 50 years of service will be recognized for their dedication. Also, faculty members who have served on Faculty Senate for at least 10 years will be honored as well as those awarded the distinction of professor emeritus.

In addition, we will celebrate and recognize a selection of undergraduate students who have demonstrated exceptional ability in their area of study along with remarkable graduate students who have written outstanding theses and dissertations.
