UCF Provost Michael D. Johnson welcomes faculty to the New Year and a new semester and offers helpful resources for spring planning.

Dear Colleagues:

Welcome to a new year and a new semester. This message includes key academic policies, regulations and resources to inform your course preparation.

Key Spring 2023 dates:

  • Monday, January 9: Spring classes begin
  • Monday, January 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (no classes)
  • Monday, March 13: Spring break week starts
  • Monday, March 27, to Friday, March 31: Student Research Week
  • Wednesday, April 26, through Tuesday, May 2: Final exam period
  • Thursday, May 4, through Saturday, May 6: Commencement
