I am pleased to announce three dean searches are underway: new leaders for the College of Sciences and the College of Optics and Photonics, and the founding dean of UCF Libraries.
These leaders will play substantial roles in supporting UCF’s advancement as a major metropolitan research university that serves a highly diverse community, one that champions the success of students from all backgrounds.
The deans will report to me as provost and will work closely with students, faculty, and staff from across the university as well as community stakeholders. Search committees have been charged to identify diverse pools of finalists after gathering input from all possible stakeholders. I am grateful for the committee members’ willingness to take on this important role, and for the existing deans who agreed to chair the committees.
The webpages below identify committee members. As each search unfolds, the pages will also include updates, the job prospectus for each position, and additional information.
⢠College of Sciences
⢠Optics and Photonics
⢠Libraries
As open forums with finalists are scheduled, we will announce them to the campus community along with providing background information about the candidates.
I invite anyone concerned with one or more of these positions to reach out to strong possible candidates, help us attract a strong and diverse pool, and later give feedback to help us hire deans capable of transformational leadership.
