Candidates must be current tenured faculty members at UCF at the rank of associate professor or professor. The associate provost will lead UCF’s partnership with Valencia College Downtown and collaborate with UCF academic leaders and many UCF units to develop a high-quality and holistic academic experience for students of all backgrounds.
A key aspect of this position is cultivating relationships with downtown stakeholders, including the City of Orlando, business partners (e.g., Creative Village Development), Orange County Public Schools and other education entities, non-profit organizations, and nearby residential neighborhoods (e.g., via the Parramore Community Engagement Council). The associate provost will engage community members to develop an interconnected environment that promotes access, innovation, and societally significant research.
