This area of the Office of the Provost focuses on academic quality by maintaining compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements. This includes making sure UCF is in line with new and amended federal and state rules and regulations, and making sure our international students follow the correct rules. We also oversee processes to ensure academic programs are reviewing their programs, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining programmatic accreditation when applicable. Connected to this area are the Undergraduate Council and the Graduate Council. These bodies and their sub-committees are faculty led and oversee the academic development, modification, and termination of programs and courses as needed. Specific area of oversight critical to UCF include institutional accreditation, Florida textbook affordability, and primary liaison with the State Course Numbering System with the Florida Department of Education Articulation Office.
